Tripod Guinomi 2011 (sake cups) – a collection of translucent porcelain vessels for drinking sake or spirits based on the form of the tripod. The cups are made of Australian Southern Ice porcelain, sometimes mixed with oxides to create an organic, textured surface. The exterior surface is unglazed and hand polished to give a smooth tactile surface while the curving contours of the base closely accommodate the fingers so the cup feels balanced and comfortable in the hand. The interior is glazed with a clear, rare earth or ice blue celadon glaze |
